Those combination of spices made up the grurng-base and as for the assortment veggies… combine with this grurng-base… what makes the dish.
But One thing I noticed is that there are 2 spices that should NEVER combine. Galangal and Krachai/finger root. Because these are 2 distinctive purpose, they individually made up grurng-base for 2 different distinctive dish.
For those who's learning to cook Khmer food. The basic spices to make up a Grurng-base for most Khmer cooking/Dishes…
– Garlic
– Lemongrass
– Kaffir lime leave.
– Turmeric
Depending on the dish.. You'd add..
Galangal or Krachai/finger root.

Food color looks good but you should not mixed bamboo with fingerroot, tumeric, galangal, kaffir lime leafs, lemongrass, taro and pumkin.
