Hi Gemma, I tried a recipe (not this one) and my cake comes out very good only the thing that I was very worried about its crumbly texture. Its very difficult to cut the layers for a crumbly cake for decoration, Please suggest how can I adjust this.should I beat more the batter so it can creates the gluten.

i made this when i was 11 and a 1/2 – 12 and exactly as you said you don't have to be an amazing cake decorator to be able to make this cake. i made it and it looked exactly like yours, i was so proud of myself thank you for inspiring me to make this cake 🙂

Dear gemma, I have a question. My oven is small, and I can't bake two pans at a time. If I split my batter into two pans, can I bake the first and let the second sit until my oven is empty? Or will it deflate the batter? Thank you.
